We've had a lower than normal tide since the full moon, the shallows have had lots of tailing pods. Deeper water areas, the fish seem to be in bigger schools. Which makes for long stretches without singles, unless you find the pods. Lots of small shrimp in the grass flats.

Early morning top waters good around grass, poppers and frogs, buzz baits. Offshore bite is good on Carolina rigs and Texas rigs. When 12-25 ft deep big worms or flukes are best.
Deep crank baits are good over channel swings, usually 20-32 ft deep Shad patterns.

Welcome to Lake Fork. Lake level is - 2.04 below full pool and surface temps are 84 to 87 degrees. We're fishing shallower around a few bridges earlier with a drop shot. Some top water when Cloudy. Moving out deeper 18' to 22' on long extended points the rest of the day. Drop shot, c- rig and and tx. rig worms. These Fork bass like it hot out there in the Summer.

It is summertime on South Padre Island and the fishing is easy! Lots of families and kids on the last several trips. The speckled trout bite has been solid and the results of Texas Parks and wildlife dropping the trout limit is showing itself in full force with an average of at least one trout over 25 inches almost every day and sometimes several per day.
Fly Fishing trips have had plenty of shots at redfish in pods, loose schools and singles. Mixed with that are legitimate shots at snook and over slot speckled trout. As soon as the wind...

As soon as the wind settles down, nearshore Tarpon Fishing will be in full swing. The fish are here but we have not been able to get to them with the wind howling like it has been. I have had several groups taking advantage of my twilight specials which leave the house at 5:30 in Fish until dark at a decreased price. Catching has been good and the sunsets have been outstanding.

Had awesome time with Traver! Really good guy and he will put you on the fish. We did a 6 hour trip and caught a mixed bag of redfish, black drum and flounder.
Jordan was great, very courteous or is on fish right away. We had some weather come in early. We regrouped he stayed positive and we went back out and continued to catch fish. He was great to fish with!!!! Definitely recommend Jordan.
Captain Jody was a great guide for me and my 3 sons! Two of my sons had never been fishing before and Captain Jody was patient and a great teacher. He knew the spots where the fish would be hitting, and we caught our limit of trout. Then back at the dock he fillet our fish quickly and precisely. We had a great time and would definitely recommend a trip with Jody.
