The bay fishing has remained decent throughout the past weeks. The weather has been great and the fish are biting. Catching solid speckled trout on soft plastics that resemble natural colors. The bay fishing has remained decent throughout the past weeks. The weather has been great and the fish are biting. Catching solid speckled trout on soft plastics that resemble natural colors. Mullet replica type paddle tail worms have been my "go to "artificial baits. Catching reds on the higher wind days out on grass flats. Fresh cut bait and soft plastics are producing solid redfish strikes. Gold spoons on brighter days are working some days. The best thing about fishing at this time of the year is the drop in the amount of other boats and fishermen on the water. Great time to stretch some lines and hook into some solid fish.

Another brutal windy day down here in South Padre Island, so I went to my mangrove snapper trap line again did really well fish for four hours. Three people caught some really nice mangroves in a 40 mile an hour wind.

Fishing was really good. I hid the best I could out of the wind, we caught a ton of mangrove snapper, a few short redfish, a bunch of stingrays and a bonus black grouper everybody had a blast it was Maverick’s first time on a boat.
