wind and weather has been limiting us on locations we can fish. Those that are adventurous still got out and caught a verity or snapper and jacks. Cobia have been seen and one caught on the Atlantic side wrecks, and our small boat got into some sea trout yesterday

The holiday season is upon us in Sarasota, Florida and the fish seem to know it. Our fishing charter customers had success targeting Snook, Redfish, Trout and Jacks in the shallow flats of Sarasota bay. As water temperatures dropped we found fish congregated on low tides in deeper mud holes in the buttonwood bay area on the back side of Longboat Key. On higher tides we found fish on top of shallow oyster bars around the bully creek area near the Sarasota airport. The nearshore fishing in Sarasota was also hot on the public reefs in front of Siesta, Lido and Longboat Key. Our customers enjoyed catch and clean fishing charters catching Kingfish, Triple tail, Cobia and Snappers.

It's that time of year, water temperatures are dropping, Speckled trout and pompano are moving in tight to bars and tross and getting fat for the cold winter. You're favorite jig and cork combo. Whether it be a DOA, gulp, Salt water assassin (my personal favorite). Other things work good as well suspending bates like mirrodien, or your favorite top water. Sara and her friends had a blast today.

Fishing Report: Captain Michael. 12/1/23. The bay fishing has been producing some nice solid fish. Redfish are moving out along grass flats and are hitting fresh cut bait and lures. If lure fishing throw lures that resemble the same colors that match the real bait. Match the hatch color schemes. Fish will start off in deeper water and move into shallower adjacent water as temperatures rise. Speckled trout are hanging along deeper water drop offs. Larger soft plastic in the winter are a good choice. Sheepshead fishing should turn on sometime soon. This is also a good time to try and target some snook.

And cut and molett is petsmart westside top water along with artificial worms, keeping a year. . enter coastal waterway live shrimp catch. You don't catch it all red trout. Flounder drum snook sheep head.. Nothing but a good time between the cold front

My latest report is titled Thanksgiving Week. The weather was windy, the water was a little choppy in spots and the sun peeked in and out of the clouds a little each day... But it might as well have been raining redfish! That's how many we caught! The first day (Wednesday), i took out Chad and Kari for a few short hours. They brought 9 redfish, 2 snook and a few mangrove snapper to the boat. It was Kari's day and everywhere she cast she was catching the reds! Poor Chad was a good sport about it, even though Kari gave him her spot on the bow he still didn't catch one. Friday Art and his grandson Daniel got a bit of a late start on another partly cloudy and windy morning but the wind died down a little and we got on the redfish on the first stop and before the morning was over they had caught 30 head of reds, a 20 inch trout, 4 snook and 7 mangrove snapper. WOW!!! They were sure some happy fishermen when we got back to the dock! If this is any indication of what is to come, the redfish season is going to be fantastic!
