Head offshore from Jacksonville with Captain Frank to hunt the nearshore waters for some great fighting and good eating Atlantic King Mackerel on light tackle. For these trips, 3 anglers is ideal, but it is possible to fish 4 at a time if that is necessary. Captain Frank's 24 foot Pathfinder is outfitted with a custom T-top and plenty of safe, comfortable seating, this boat provides a smooth nearshore fishing experience when conditions are nice. This trip is heavily dependent on the weather though. If the seas are too big on the day of your trip, Captain Frank will happily take you to explore the inshore waters for Redfish, Trout, Flounder, and other inshore species for a lower rate or offer to reschedule your adventure to a later date. Scott has been the captain of the Pipe Dream II since 2011, when he started full time as a boat captain. Growing up on the water and purchasing his first boat when he was only 17, he is a born fisherman and knows the waters like no one else. Scott has won several tournaments, including the Amelia Island Blue Island Shootout, the greater Jacksonville King Fish Tournament and several others along the way. He finds his joy in watching others catch all different kinds of fish, including Red Snapper, Grouper, Sea Bass, Tuna, and others. He is currently licensed for 6 anglers, plus his first mate. We will typically launch the boat right around sunrise to go redfishing. We will be on my custom built flats boat, poling marshes and grass flats looking to sight cast to tailing redfish. We target bull and slot redfish, black drum, speckled trout, tripletail, jack crevalle, and tarpon depending on the season. Both fly and spinning rods are effective methods to catch these species and both methods are welcomed. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome aboard my boat and I will do my best to put anyone on fish. We are based out of Mobile, AL and mainly fish the Mobile-Tensaw River Delta, Mobile Bay, the Mississippi Sound, and the Biloxi Marsh but regularly trailer the boat to other areas.
