Our family had an incredible time on this trip. The marlin got off the hook, but my son reeled in a 68” yellow tail. The crew were knowledgeable and worked hard to take care of us. Don’t pass on Captain Experiences.

We are visiting from California and have many years of deep sea fishing off the California coast. We specialized in catching mako sharks. We booked a half day charter hoping to experience the thrill of catching fish off of the Big Island. We were not disappointed. Skipper Dusty and mate RJ worked very hard to pursue big fish off of Kona. Both of these guys were very professional, enthusiastic, and very personable. Near the end of our charter we hadn’t caught anything but Dusty and RJ kept working hard. And BANG! All of a sudden we had a hook up with a 200+ pound Pacific blue marlin. What a fight! What a beautiful fish. We got him to the boat took pictures and set him free. Just an incredible experience. We highly recommend Dusty for a great adventure in deep sea angling. FISH ON! What a great experience! I have three sons (ages 10–15), and they had a fantastic time being out on the water and learning about fishing. Charles and Scott were friendly, knowledgeable, and made the trip enjoyable for everyone. A special thank-you to Charles, who helped my oldest son reel in an ono—an unforgettable moment and definitely one of the highlights of our time on the Big Island. We highly recommend this charter to anyone looking for a fun and memorable fishing adventure!
