Head out with Captain Lance to explore the Sportsman's Paradise down in South Louisiana. On this trip you'll be using light tackle rigs, artificial bait, or live bait if you'd like to purchase some to chase speckled trout and redfish. The ecosystem down on Louisiana's gulf coast make it a very interesting fishery. It is absolutely beautiful with mazes of marshland, flooded backcountry waters, and wildlife abounding, but there is so much good habitat that the fish can move just about anywhere. And they do move around a lot. That's where a great Captain like Lance is extremely helpful. With an in-depth knowledge of the surrounding water and fish habits, he keeps close tabs on where those fish are moving and where the most successful locations will be for each trip. As a result, Captain Lance is very flexible on where you will be launching from, since he is always moving around as well to follow the fish. In the days leading up to your trip, he will reach out to you to discuss where your group will be coming from and where the best launch location will be based on your position and where the fish are most localized! Once you've agreed upon a meet-up location and the day of your trip arrives, you will find Captain Lance at the boat ramp to load up aboard his 24' Pathfinder bay boat and head out into the marsh! Captain Lance provides fuel, fishing tackle, ice, live bait, and will even clean and bag all the fish you catch for your travel home. Water, cold drinks, and food are not automatically provided but Captain Lance can bring them along at your request for a small additional fee. One day of fishing just isn’t enough? Make it a double! Captain Gavin and his experienced crew are stoked to take you out for a 48-hour fishing extravaganza! Up to 10 guests can comfortably fit aboard the 32’ Aluma Marine which you will use to extensively search the Louisiana marshland for Redfish and Speckled Trout. The network of canals stretches for miles, and over 2 days you will have plenty of time to explore it. Y'all will be staying in the newly renovated cabins, bunkhouses, or houseboats that sit on the bayou for a beautiful view of the bayou. Besides Redfish and Speckled Trout, the flats are home to Black Drum, Flounder, and Redfish, all of which are delicious. Each person on the trip should bring a large cooler to keep their catch fresh for dinner. Not to worry, lodging overnight is included. He will also provide you with all the rods, reels, bait, and tackle necessary for a successful trip, as well as sodas during the hot days. If you're looking for an absolutely epic offshore sportfishing trip, you're in the right place. With 24 hours at your disposal, the world is truly your oyster when you climb aboard Captain Lane's 42' Freeman. This oversized catamaran center console is an offshore angler's dream vessel, combining comfort and space with speed and fishability. Not to mention, with quad 300 Yamahas strapped to the back, Captain Lane can get this puppy cranking up to 65 knots! On these trips, you'll be targeting Tuna out on the Midnight Knob, roughly 170 miles offshore. Although Tuna feeding patterns are hard to predict, you'll try your luck in the early morning hours, when they come to the surface to feed. Most overnight trips will involve some bottom fishing and trolling during the afternoon as you make your way offshore.
