You'll get to enjoy some of the best scenery and Trout fishing that Oklahoma has to offer with this trip on the Mountain Fork River. The Lower Mountain Fork River is a year-round trout fishery located in the beautiful Ouachita Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma just north of Broken Bow. One of the best tailwaters in the South, this beautiful river sustains natural Trout reproduction for great year-round fishing in both size and numbers. 20+ inch Brown and Rainbow Trout are caught often, and the Oklahoma state record Brown Trout was caught here (weighing 17.4 lbs!). On this half or full-day trip, Chris will take you to the Lower Mountain Fork River where you'll wade in the banks and go after some Brown Trout and Rainbow Trout. These Trout-heavy rivers are excellent for throwing your first fly-fishing casts, knocking off the rust on your casting skills, or going for as many fish as you can. Chris and his team of expert guides will show you plenty of tips to help get one on the line and are happy to guide anglers of any skill level! Chris or one of his guides will provide all rods, reels, waders and boots. They run Temple Fork Outfitters rods and reels with Cortland fly line. From Midge to Hexagenia and in between, the flies you will fish are specific to the river. All you need to bring is an Oklahoma fishing license. Introducing Clayton's Hog Hunts, a premier hunting destination located just outside the picturesque town of Avery, Texas. On this hunting adventure you’ll have the opportunity to shoot as many hogs as you can! With 4 exclusive bow spots, 8 comfortable sitting blinds, and strategically placed cameras throughout the property, guests can embark on an unforgettable hog hunting adventure. Additionally, lodging and meals are included in this package. You’re hunt will be private, so your group will have the entirety of the this free range property to enjoy. Clayton will equip you with all of the guns, ammo, and equipment necessary for a successful hunt. On this weekend long trip, you’ll typically enjoy 4 full hunts. For example, customers would arrive during the day friday, hunt friday evening, have a delicious dinner (probably BBQ) then continue their hunt with thermals friday night. Then saturday morning after a big breakfast you will hunt for 4 or 5 hours, enjoy a quick simple lunch and a short break then go back out to hunt saturday evening and either saturday night or sunday morning depending on your preference. The typical shot distance on these hunts is within 100 yards. All cleaning, skinning, and quartering is included in this package. Clayton and his team will provide breakfast lunch and dinner for the duration of your stay. The welcoming family house provides essential amenities, including 8 twin bunks, a well-stocked fridge, running water, and a cozy window stove for warmth. Side-by-sides are available for seamless transportation to and from the blinds, ensuring your comfort and convenience throughout your hunting experience. Guests arrive on Friday early afternoon, allowing time to immerse themselves in the serene surroundings, check their gear, site in their guns, and explore the thermal equipment before heading out for an afternoon hunt. After dark, guests are picked up about an hour or two after dark, returning to a delectable dinner waiting at the bunkhouse. The rest of the evening is at the guests' discretion, whether they choose to continue their hunt with thermal gear or unwind by the fire. With Claytons cell cams set up throughout the property and hooked up to his Cell Phone a little combination of both isn't out of the question either. Guests can unwind by the fire and if the Cell Cam gets a hit, you'll take to the atv's and chase down the hogs! Cell cams are strategically placed to alert guests when action is imminent, allowing them to maximize their hunting experience. A minimum of 4 participants is required, and it's essential to note that the bunkhouse is tailored for hunters, not luxury seekers, providing a comfortable place to rest after an exciting day. The hunting grounds feature old, mature woods that have never been clear-cut, creating a challenging and rewarding environment for hog hunting.
