A world class fisherman, and an even better man, Captain Pepis can do it all, and can cater your trip to whatever fishing experience you have or activities you'd like to fit in on your trip. So whether you want to fish, snorkel or just enjoy a trip on Captain Pepi's boat (or a combination of all 3!), this is the perfect activity to do with kids, family or a group of friends. The waters of the West Coast of Puerto Rico are known as the Mona Passage, where the Atlantic meets the Caribbean. The fishing in Rincon is world class: ESPN's Billfish Extreme Release League rated Western Puerto Rico as #3 in the world for Blue Marlin fishing. The tuna, wahoo and mahi-mahi fishing is top-notch as well. The nearby deep sea waters are warm, clear and blue water and make for excellent fishing throughout the whole year! Rates include tackle and refreshments (water and soda). Feel free to bring your food or snacks, there is enough cooler space for anything you might want to keep cold. While this trip isn't nessecarily a grocery run to fill the freezer, Captain Pepi has no problem sharing the catch. You will always be able to take enough fish to eat for yourselves and your traveling party. He can also help make arrangements with local restaurants in town to have your catch cooked for you once you're back at the dock. Captain Pepi recommends you dress in light clothing, cap/visor and boat shoes/sandals are alsi recommended. He usually keep enough sunblock on the boat, but if you wish you can also bring your own. In terms of things you should not bring: No bananas will be allowed onboard! This is an old fishing superstition, but take my word for it, there may be some truth to it. Please no hard-soled shoes on the boat either (rubber tennis shoes are fine). You may bring beverages or beer, but no glass bottles please. Also, please bring sunscreen, but no spray sunscreen as it causes the deck to become slippery. Captain Pepi is excited to take you on an excellent catered experience, and while species are never guaranteed, see his Seasonal fish Calendar below for an idea of what species will be available during your trip: JANUARY: Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish and Blackfin Tuna FEBRUARY: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Yellowfin Tuna, Kingfish and Blackfin Tuna MARCH: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish, Yellowfin Tuna, and Blackfin Tuna APRIL: Mahi-mahi, Wahoo, Kingfish and Blackfin Tuna MAY: Blackfin Tuna and Mackerel. JUNE: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel JULY: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. AUGUST: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. SEPTEMBER: Blue Marlin, Blackfin Tuna, White Marlin, Longbill Spearfish and Mackerel. Offshore Puerto Rico

Head out with Captain Juan Carlos to battle some mighty offshore pelagic species off the coast of San Juan! On these offshore trips, you will spend most of your time trolling for Blue and White Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and Yellowfin Tuna. Sailfish can also be targeted a couple of months out of the year but those trips are heavily dependent on the weather so are more difficult to schedule. If Sailfish is what you're after, give us a call and we can lend advice on the best times of the year to try and schedule your trip. If conditions aren't perfect on the day of your trip, Captain Juan would be more than happy to take you out to the La Pena reef for some rod bending action and some delicious table fare, or take you to explore the back bays (where it is almost always calm) to chase Tarpon. These trips are at a discounted rate as well. No matter the conditions or the type of trip, you will always meet up with Captain Juan at the Cangrejos Yacht Club, a private marina located 5 minutes from San Juans international airport and an easy 5-8 minutes from all the major hotels and city center. All Captain Juan's trips include your expert guide (Juan himself), live bait, prepared dead bait, fishing tackle, bottled water, and sodas for your enjoyment. Feel free to bring alcoholic beverages along, all Captain Juan requests is that they be consumed in a moderate fashion. Read More

Santiago made the trip fun despite the tarpon being hard to catch. He was on time and interesting to talk with. Seeing manatees and jumping sting rays made the trip. Great guide, would book again!

Rafa is the man. He was on time, prepared, informative and knew how to attack tarpon. It was a slow day for the catching side of things but Rafa managed to get us on fish. My wife and I both landed a couple 4 to 5 lb fish and we hooked a bigger fish (12 to 15lb) that gave us a jumping show but came unhooked at the boat. We got to meet Bob the pelican as an added treat. A great day and I can confidently refer Rafa as a good man to fish with

Captain Carlos did a great job and moved several times to try finding us some fish. Unfortunately, it was a hot day and we didn’t have any luck, but we’ll definitely be booking through Captain again!

Captain Angel and his crew mate were fantastic they worked very hard to put us on fish but it didn’t work out. One high point was when we returned to the marina Captan Angel spotted some Tarpon so he baited a rod and tossed it in and then let my 7 year old Grandson reel it in. He was really excited to fight that tarpon and talked about it all night. Thank you Captain Angel for your kindness.
