The offshore bite has been good in between fronts with plenty of Vermillion snapper and a handful of triggerfish and Scamp Grouper! We have also had a few catch and release trips, and the targeted species has been bigger fish like Amberjack pictured here. Your choice, exquisite table fare or drag screamers! Choice is yours! The giant sheep head are biting very well and given descent seas and a 5 hour trip or longer I'm catching some delicious red groupers in the gulf. Even a ruff day and to windy even in the bay to target sheephead, still catching delicious and fun fish.

February 2025 The offshore bite around Key West is absolutely red hot right now, with blackfin tuna and cobia stealing the show! Blackfin Tuna Frenzy The blackfin tuna action has been nothing short of spectacular. Schools of these torpedoes are stacking up along the edge of the reef and in deeper blue water, particularly around the humps and wrecks. Anglers live baiting with pilchards, threadfin herring, and small blue runners on light tackle are experiencing non-stop action. The key has been to chum heavy with live baits, creating a slick that pulls them right up to the boat. Once they’re...

Once they’re fired up, it’s game on! Fish in the 15–25 lb range are common, with some larger bruisers mixed in. Light fluorocarbon leaders (20-30 lb) and small circle hooks are doing the trick, providing an epic fight that tests every inch of your gear. Cobia Crash the Party While targeting tuna, surprise visits from cobia have added to the excitement. These fish are cruising the same wrecks and structure, often trailing behind rays, sharks, and even alongside the tuna schools. They’re aggressive right now, smashing live baits like pinfish and pilchards without hesitation. Anglers are reporting cobia in the 20–40 lb class, with some true Key West giants pushing beyond that. Keep a pitch rod ready with a live bait hooked up because these fish often appear out of nowhere, especially when you’re chumming heavily. Tips for Success: • Chum Heavy: Live chumming with pilchards keeps both tuna and cobia around the boat.

If you want to have a great time and catch lots of fish, look no further!! This was such a fun experience for our family of 4. Captain Heath was the best guide ever!! We caught lots of fish and even got a chance to do a little snorkeling. We had the best time and will definitely be booking with him again asap!
Blake accommodated our location by coming 30 minutes closer to Navarre, great start. We fought some wind but overall had a great afternoon. Blake was very knowledgeable and courteous to my two young boys, which for me ensures he’ll get our business again. The highlight of the day was our rescue of a pelican wrapped up in fishing line, absolutely amazing to see and watch Blake in his element, saving wildlife. A hands on miracle!
Captain Bryars put us on the fish early and often. Deckhand Logan was very attentive, and helped my son with his personal bests (plural). Great charter for children and adults alike. Can’t recommend enough!
Captain David was really friendly and had the knowledge it took to catch fish. He took extra time to show/teach 9 year old grandson how to catch 4 different species of saltwater fish. Thanks again captain.
Had an amazing day with Jordan, he was great with my older kids and we caught a lot of fish! He helped filet our catch of the day which was so delicious. We would hire Jordan again when we return to fish in Destin!
Brought my kids on the trip. Craig and crew were very accommodating and assisted family so I could also catch fish. Very friendly and highly recommend if bringing a family with mixed age group. Caught many snapper and get a few larger fish, grouper, Bonita, amber jack.
I will be looking up Craig for my next fishing trip in Destin.
