Fishing in Panama City
trip description for Panama City Inshore in Panama City

The most popular trip booked is the four hour inshore trip. It is a good amount of time to pursue the different types of fish that are bitting or are in season. The five and six hour trips are usually booked with intentions of ether half the trip inshore and other nearshore, or the entire trip nearshore. This extended time gives the capt. the opportunity to make a further ride and more time to provide you a better catch of fish. After leaving the dock it’s a short trip to where we will be stopping to buy/catch live bait for your trip. Depending on the trip booked we will usually ride anywhere from 5 to 30 min to the fishing grounds. Longer rides are the nearshore trips. The tackle most commonly used on the inshore trips are light tackle 3000-4000 spinning reels with 20lb braid. Nearshore tackle consists of two different types of reels using 6000 shimano spinning reels and conventional reels are shimano torium 20pg with 50lb mono. The boat is a 22’ Cape Horn bay. Boat has dry storage to put your things - cell/wallet etc. Has all up to-date coastguard safety equipment. Additional cooler storage is available if you need to store more drinks or food. The trip usually starts out with a plan. Expectations of how the trip is supposed to turn out, what you’re supposed to catch sometime changes. You never know what is going to happen or what you’re going to catch. We strive to be prepared for every thing to ensure that your trip is comfortable and exciting. Read More

Capt. Greg did an outstanding job from start to finish. He was a total pro & texted ahead of time to give us a quick heads up for what to expect. Boat was super clean & in really great shape with plenty of comfortable seating. We were on Redfish from the jump!! Also caught a few beautiful grouper & other species. Greg was really patient with our 9yo, 13 yo, and 15 yo. Awesome trip for kids or experienced fishermen. We will definitely take another charter trip w Greg next time we are in PCB.

Did the 4 hour morning fishing charter with Captain. I highly recommend this charter. I found out the night before that captain Jason’s son Dylan was going to be taking us out instead of Captain Jason. Dylan was so good with my 11 & 13 year old boys, we learned so much. We couldn’t go on the ocean because it was a windy rough day and we were on a smaller boat. It was only my boys and I plus Captain Dylan. Captain Dylan assured us that there were plenty of big fish to be caught in the bay. One of my boys caught a shark and the other caught some snappers and a saltwater catfish. I caught a 42lb black drum! It was a great father/sons experience.

Jameson T. with Jason S. of Panama City, Florida

Alan was the best fishing guide that I have experienced. We caught our limit of red snapper in 30 minutes. We also caught our limit of another type of snapper in less than an hour. He knew exactly where to stop. Fish were biting as fast as you threw out your line. Greatest experience I have had fishing with a guide. Will be booking with him again in the fall.
