A stop at the bait patch is also necessary as you will be fishing your way out to the deep water; for these Swordfish trips, you will head offshore up to 30 miles. On top of chasing Swords, you can also have opportunities for Mahi Mahi, Tuna, Wahoo, and maybe even a Marlin on this trip as well. Once you get out to their swordfish spot, your Captain will deep drop one line then drift along the ledge for up to 1 hour at a time. Your Captain will make as many drifts as time will allow and you will fish our way back to shore. Swordfishing is a very patient process. But the rewards are well worth it!
