If you're looking for an absolutely epic offshore sportfishing trip, you're in the right place. With 24 hours at your disposal, the world is truly your oyster when you climb aboard Captain Lane's 42' Freeman. This oversized catamaran center console is an offshore angler's dream vessel, combining comfort and space with speed and fishability. Not to mention, with quad 300 Yamahas strapped to the back, Captain Lane can get this puppy cranking up to 65 knots! On these trips, you'll be targeting Tuna out on the Midnight Knob, roughly 170 miles offshore. Although Tuna feeding patterns are hard to predict, you'll try your luck in the early morning hours, when they come to the surface to feed. Most overnight trips will involve some bottom fishing and trolling during the afternoon as you make your way offshore. You can catch billfish and other pelagics, such as Wahoo and Mahi Mahi, on your way out! Once the sun starts to go down, you're welcome to get comfy in a bean bag and snooze if you'd like as Captain Lane will start ripping it offshore. You'll run out deep as the sun sets to get into position for the early morning bite around 3-4 AM. As mentioned, Captain Lane's 42' Freeman is equipped with bean bags for your lounging pleasure on the way offshore, and also comes with all the best rods, reels, electric reels, and tackle you could possibly need for a successful day out on the water. Get out there and knock some species off your bucket list! Read More

trip description for Overnight Trip - 35' Contender in Boothville-Venice

On this epic trip, you'll run out up to 180 miles offshore with Captain Donnie to chase down some of the hardest-fighting and finest-tasting fish the ocean has to offer. These overnight trips are great for targeting big-time Yellowfin Tuna out on the Midnight Knob, located roughly ~170 miles offshore. In addition, you'll be able to go after Swordfish, Sailfish, Marlin, and more! If you're an offshore angler looking to knock some species off your bucket list, there's no better way to do it. In order to fish as efficiently as possible, you'll switch up techniques in order to capitalize on the fishes' feeding patterns. For example, because Tuna spend most of their time feeding on squid down at great depths, and only rise to the surface in the early hours of the morning, you'll only troll for Tuna at that time, then switch back to drifting for Swordfish, chasing Sailfish, or targeting other species. Captain Donnie leaves it all out there when you choose to fish with him. He will work tirelessly to make sure you get the best opportunities at the fish you're trying to catch. His 35' Contender is equipped with all the best rods and reels (as well as electric reels for deep dropping), plus all the tackle you could possibly need for a successful day out on the water! Be advised: Fuel is included in the price of this trip! Head out deep with Captain David to chase down some of the hardest fighting and finest-tasting fish the ocean has to offer. The Tuna fishing in Venice can be good year-round! Like most types of fishing though, weather patterns and fish habits can be unpredictable, not to mention Tuna notoriously spend most of their time at unreachable depths. For the best chances at giant Yellowfin Tuna look to book your trip in the Fall or Winter months and definitely book an overnight trip. Though Tuna can be caught anywhere from 5 to 200 miles offshore, the overnight trip is highly recommended if you really want the best shot at some big Yellowfin. Billfishing is also good offshore of Venice, LA. You can target Marlin, Sailfish, and even happen to hook into a Swordfish! Captain David is committed to making sure his customers have a great experience out on the water. He will work his tail off to get you onto the fish! trip description for Hopedale Redfish On the Fly in Hopedale

Come join Captain John for the fly fishing adventure of a lifetime! On this full-day trip, Captain John will be your host as you fish and explore the Mississippi River delta, south of New Orleans. The focus is Redfish, specifically giant "bull" Redfish. Nothing compares to the thrill of watching 30 pound Red crawling, backing, and tailing on super clear, skinny water flats of the Mississippi River delta! You'll also have the opportunity to target oversized Black Drum and Sheepshead. Most days, these fish will readily eat just about any fly cast in front of them. That’s not to say these fish are easy, though. It takes quick accurate casts to get the fly in front of the fish. Whether this is your first trip or you’re a seasoned veteran to these waters, Captain John will take you hotspots and show you tips you won't soon forget! You'll be fishing aboard a 24' Yellowfin bay boat that can hold up to 2 guests. Powered by a 300 HP Mercury Verado engine, this vessel will bounce you around the Louisiana flats with ease! She comes complete with GPS, Fishfinder, a Live Bait Well and snorkeling equipment. Captain John will provide all rods, reels, tackle and flies. All you need to bring is a Louisiana fishing license. We also recommend bringing polarized glasses (possibly the most important piece of equipment besides the flyrod), sunscreen, a camera and appropriate clothing for the conditions. Goretex jackets and bibs are appropriate for all seasons. If you want to bring your own rod, Captain John recommends 8, 9, & 10wt fly rods with weight forward floating line and your favorite flies. I’ve fished in several states all over the country including AK and Troy was by far the best “Captain “ we have used. Picked us up right off our house boat! Very knowledgeable and helpful. Was also patient with kids. Will definitely be going back!
