On this trip, you'll head offshore to chase down some trophy pelagics in the rich waters off of Cabo San Lucas! You'll be fishing on board a luxury 38' Blackfin sportfishing vessel, which is perfectly suited for the offshore trip of a lifetime! Your captain, Charry, is highly experienced and knowledgeable, and will show you the time of your life out on the water. Cabo is renowned for its world-class sportfishing, and for good reason. The offshore shelf is right off the beach, and cold currents make this a prime spot for all kinds of big predators, including Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, and more. While on the water, First Mate Antonio (Torrito) will prep your rigs and bait your hooks, so you can focus on setting hooks! Fishing offshore in Cabo, you can expect to catch a variety of fish including Black Marlin, Blue Marlin, Mahi Mahi, Roosterfish, Sailfish, Striped Marlin, Swordfish, Wahoo, and Yellowtail Amberjack. These pelagics run year-round, but the best time to be down in Cabo is late September through January. Captain Charry will use a variety of techniques to put you on the fish, including bottom fishing, heavy tackle fishing, live baiting, and trolling. No matter what your experience level is, Captain Charry will make sure that you have a great time and catch plenty of fish. The vessel is a 38' Blackfin sportfisher that is fully equipped with state-of-the-art electronics, autopilot, GPS, sonar, and navigation aids. She's powered by twin Detroit engines with a total of 1100 horsepower. This boat is perfect for offshore fishing in Cabo because it is fast, comfortable and has everything you need for a successful trip. When you come on an offshore fishing trip with Charry and his crew, you can be sure that all of the tackle and gear will be provided for you, and you can purchase a fishing license when you arrive. However, there are a few things that you should bring with you to make sure you have a great time. First, be sure to bring any boating essentials that you might need. This includes items like sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, and towels. Second, be sure to bring enough food and drinks for everyone on the trip. The team will provide water and ice, but you should bring your own snacks and drinks. Lastly, don't forget to bring your camera to capture all of the memories from your trip! Read More

We had a great trip With a great crew who was accommodating and worked hard to put us on fish. Caught skipjack tuna and dorado (March is not the best month for fishing in Cabo) but we caught plenty of fish and had a great trip. I’d use this outfit again.

Leonardo was fantastic with communication and letting us know the weather. While unfortunately the weather wasn’t good enough for the port to be guaranteed open during our trip, Leonardo did his best to get us out there as safely as possible for 3 different days. I can’t speak for the fishing, but for everything else Leonardo was a 11/10.

Ariel and Alexis were amazing captains. Ariel is completely bilingual and has so much experience fishing for 17 years in PV but also all over the world. He was super adaptive — he worked with us to do a lot of different types of fishing (we trolled, we jigged) and all in we caught almost 40 fish with just two of us!! He also gave us an opportunity to add on a trip to Yelapa where they cooked our fresh fish, and it was not only delicious but such a unique experience. Ariel was super communicative and flexible, too. Would highly highly recommend Ariel to anyone who wants to catch a lot of fish, learn about the area and have an amazing time out on the water.

Excellent captain and experience; highly recommend! Although we only caught a few, he’s a great guy, trustworthy and also helped us with some local restaurant recommendations and connecting us with some of his local friends. Five Stars all the way. I will be a repeat customer.

We had a blast with Captain Jorge and Alex. Started the morning off with coffee and breakfast tacos as we headed out in search of Mahi off the Pacific side of Cabo. Caught a couple of keepers and some smaller tuna, then took our fresh Mahi over to Alexanders right across from the marina where they cook the fish a few different ways. Definitely recommend hopping on any of the trips Jim and team offer!

I’ve always wanted to catch a tarpon on the fly. It’s been on my bucket list for years, so when we planned our trip to Cancun, I look for an opportunity after booking the trip I was obviously excited to get the chance to fill one of the things on my bucket list, however, when I didn’t plan on, was getting very sick, just a few hours before Orlando, my guide was picking me up. As bad as I felt, I went and waited in the lobby for him to arrive. He had to go through a lot of trouble to get through security, but when I met him, he was all smiles. As we rode through the city to his boat I didn’t say a word, because I felt so ill, and after loading the boat and headed out under the water, it was only a matter of moments before he put me on fish, in my weakened state, I could barely throw the fly. However, he kept pointing out fish after fish, and after a few times resting, I finally filled that bucket list. Orlando was so patient with me and very generous. Not only was he an excellent guide he was a very, very good guy. I hope one day I can go back and fish with him again when I feel better Orlando worked very hard to get me on fish , and if I felt better, I’m sure I would’ve caught several more. We did catch more than that one but because I was so sick I laid in the bottom of the boat mostly. It wouldn’t have mattered if we didn’t catch fish I think I would’ve enjoyed spending the time on the water with Orlando. he genuinely wants you to catch fish. In my second state, he couldn’t tell how excited I was but I could sure tell how excited he was. Thanks again Orlando!! Tight lines!!!

Matthew O. with Orlando M. of Cancún, Quintana Roo

  • ★★★★★
We had a great experience with Captain Miguel and crew on the Christine 1. Prompt departure with all the gear ready to go. We caught bait fish to start and then tried our luck for larger species. At one point there were 4 of our group members reeling in a catch! Water, soda and beer were included. There was a bathroom available and a nice covered area to stay out of the sun. Captain Travis was also prompt in communications prior to the trip to confirm details and provide instructions for our outing. I would highly recommend and hope to return for another trip in the future for a trophy catch!

Matthew E. with Travis S. of Cancún, Quintana Roo

  • ★★★★★
The trip was amazing. They don’t lie when they say you don’t come in unless you catch a fish. I took my 8 year old. We trolled deep see for 5 hrs had 2 separate 100 to 150lb sailfish attacking the bait. Unfortunately no hook set but no worries. Travis and the guys took us closer inshore for an hour on the way back and my son reeled in 2 big triggerfish 2 yellow snapper a barracuda and an amberjack. So finishing stony with 6 fish and seeing the two sailfish chasing the bait was awesome. Not to mention your catching live bait pretty much the whole time.

Michael T. with Travis S. of Cancún, Quintana Roo

  • ★★★★★
I highly recommend Orlando. The communication before the trip was great and he went the extra miles (literally) to pick me and drop me off at my hotel so I didn't have to mess around with early morning taxi or Uber. Fishing was tough but we got some baby tarpon on fly and when conditions weren't suitable for fly rod we switches to spinning rod and caught more. Also got to see some remote backwater and the resident crocodiles. Made you think twice before putting hand in water to retrieve a snagged fly!

Simon S. with Orlando M. of Cancún, Quintana Roo

  • ★★★★★
FIVE STARS AMAZING! I booked my first every deep sea fishing guide for myself and two other fishing experts so the pressure was on and I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily Captain Experience was so easy, the selection was great, the signup process through to the day of instructions and QR code was a breeze. We had the most amazing time! I got the impression we received special treatment from the crew by booking through Caption Experience. I will 100% use this service again, no stress and a guaranteed great time. Thank you all so much for all your help, it was a fantastic day I wont soon forget. Can't wait to book another trip!

Ray G. with Eddy V. of Cabo San Lucas, Baja California Sur

The trip itself with my guides was more than I could have hoped for. Not only were they extremely helpful, put us on fish, and instructed well, but they even took pictures for us, gave us a history of the Tulum Ruins and gave us a little snorkeling adventure with stingrays and sea turtles. This entire part was a 5/5 stars. The disappointing part 1/5 stars was the whole reason I booked through Capt. Experiences. According to the booking through this website the total trip was supposed to be $650. I paid "$97" through the website for a deposit. That came out to $130 on my credit card. When I showed up, I still had to pay the full "$650.00" in order to go on the trip, thinking that deposit was more of a holding fee like a deposit on a rental car. Nope, that was also added to the price, now I'm at $750 for this trip. The QR code that was supplied to me to pay the rest. The gentleman at the desk said he doesn't need that. I explained the deposit situation and he insisted his price was correct. Cool, way to vet the companies Capt. Experiences. Now for the Icing on the cake. When I went to the actual company webpage the same trip costs $550! So, you have guarantied that I will never use this service again and let others know of my experience of being ripped off, from a company that says they find the best which would include not getting ripped off. I get paying more as paying more, you're cost being $650, I was ok with that, even though $100 for your service was a bit steep, but hey, you guaranty the companies are vetted and only the best. That should be worth something. But, Oh wait, I still got ripped off. Never again. Total waste of time and money.

Terrance M. with Carlos S. of Tulum, Quintana Roo

  • ★★★★★
If I could give more stars a would. Ramon and Diego were amazing and I would love to go back we caught six barracuda and almost had an El Dorado but I lost it right at the end.
