NC Gulfstream Special

These trips are more adventure than fishing trip, adventures are what keep anglers up at all hours of the night, these monsters will haunt you. This adventure tests your C-Legs, leaving the dock before sunrise and usually returns 10-12hrs later running to grounds that are 35-60miles from the inlet. The life, scenery and remoteness will mesmerize you, until that rod doubles over and has you wondering if you’re “Tough Enough”. Depending on the time of year the species will change, Yellowfin, Bigeye, Blackfin and Giant Bluefin Tuna, White and Blue Marlin, Wahoo and Mahi. We can include bottom fishing on this trip as well if desired, just let us know beforehand. On the day of the trip, you'll go aboard the Mornin' Glory, Captain John's 28' Carolina Classic sportfisher. Captain John says it best himself: "She is known for 2 things, a serious offshore sportfishing vessel with one HELLOVA ride, and a little something to keep mama happy. Weighing in at over twice most boats here size (16,000lb), coupled with a 24-degree deadrise means she keeps that sexy bottom in the water, not bouncing off of it. How do we push that, with the most reliable name in the diesel market…CUMMINS. With twin 330hp Cummins diesels she sports a cruising speed of 27kts, making a short ride to even the offshore grounds. 2nd…Mac Privott didn’t forget to add a few comforts when he designed this boat. Heating/AC, fully electric head, fridge and microwave, as well as a little space down below to recuperate after fighting that monster. Mornin’ Glory is decked out with the latest in electronics, a full SIMRAD suite from 4G Radar down to Chirp sounders for finding those monsters that lurk in the deep. When it comes to gear, she is decked with the latest from Okuma, Penn and Shimano to handle anything from flounder and croaker to the offshore big boys that haunt your dreams and will test your metal. But most importantly, the Mornin' Glory is loaded with good times." To make the most of the day, make sure to bring the essentials: Polarized Sunglasses, Hat, Weather-Appropriate Clothing, Sunscreen, and a Camera! Don't forget your Fishing License either—you can't get on the water without one. Read More

    Great - enjoyed every minute.

We booked a trip with captain Jaime for two days in the beginning of our trip. My fiancé is an avid fisherman, and was able to pick captain Jamie‘s brain for information on the area, and he gladly shared. Captain brought us to some great spots, and there were some fish caught. We even got to fish one of the shipwrecks from the Civil War, which was amazing. We couldn’t of asked for a more hospitable and kind and knowledgeable guide for this trip.

My son and I had such a fun trip with Captain Jamie! He was great with my son, a patient teacher, and he navigated the area with ease. He even tried to hook us a shark! We also saw dolphins and lovely wildlife, and we caught some interesting fish. My son can’t wait to go back and is counting down the days until we see Jamie again!

We had an awesome time with capt. Joe. He worked extremely hard to put us on the fish. Water conditions weren't to our favor, But we will be back next year. Can't wait to fish with our new found friend again. And have another great day on the water. ☆☆☆☆☆

Jordan was a great captain! By gosh, by dern, he was going to find some fish for us. Nearly defeated, he found a spot at the end of our trip. He was kind enough to let us fish a bit longer than scheduled so we could pull in a few. Thank you!

Coordinating this trip was a nightmare. I got passed around 3x. Lacking clear communication & response time. Would rather have used another service or booked directly with captain

Great time! Can't wait to go back.

Kyle G. with Drew Z. of Wrightsville Beach, North Carolina

Captain G is the man! We had a blast on our trip chasing reds on soft plastics and fly inshore, hammering flounder at G's secret spot, loading up on Spanish Mackerel at the jetties, running the beaches for cobia and catching bluefish and a 6' Blacktip Shark, and then running a few miles off to try our luck on some amberjack. This trip was a wild nonstop adventure and I came away amazed at the variety of fishing opportunities Captain G can line up at the drop of a hat. There was never a dull moment and G's setup is perfect for skinny water, zipping down the coast, and fishing open water offshore. His gear is top of the line and he was super quick to re-rig tackle when needed so we were keeping lines wet. 10/10 and can't wait to fish with G again sometime soon. -Jonathan with Captain Experiences

Captain Grey was outstanding. Under typically iffy December conditions on Pamlico Sound he put us into trout and drum. I've fished with 4 other charters over the past decade in the Carolinas and Captain Grey was best.
