Lake Buchanan is one of the hottest striper fishing locations in Central Texas as a result of efforts by volunteers and stocking programs by the government. The striper fishing is excellent on this lake. The stripers start their yearly schooling & feeding activity in February. On this 4 or 8-hour trip, Jackie will motor you out on Lake Buchanan to go after some picture-worthy Crappie, Striped Bass and White Bass. You can target these fish using light tackle, by bottom fishing or creeping up on them with the trolling motor. This trip is great for beginners, and experienced anglers can have a great time too as they pile up the fish. No matter your skill level, Jackie will give you plenty of expert tips to help get some fish on the line! You'll be fishing aboard a 23' Redfin Center Console with room for 4 people. Powered by a 200 HP Yamaha engine, this do-it-all vessel will have no problem getting you to the prime fishing spots. Like many others before them, they know this region of Texas offers great striper fishing which can be a challenging and exciting day of fishing, especially when you hook up to a big one! On this 4-hour trip, John will motor you out on Lake Texoma to go after some monster Striped Bass using light tackle. You don't have to be a professional angler to enjoy striper fishing in this wonderful lake. Even if you don't have an ounce of fishing experience, you can rest assured your striper guide, John, will be there to lend a helping hand and provide you with all the coaching help you may need! You'll be fishing aboard a 26' SportCraft Center Console with room for 6 people. Its 300 HP Yamaha is mounted on an exterior platform that provides the boat with more room while giving you a smooth ride. She has a small cabin under the center console for privacy. Other features include an anchoring system, VHF Radio, two Lowrance GPS/Fishfinder Electronics, an underwater sounding system and a porta-potty when requested. John will provide quality rods, reels and tackle, and he'll also filet and bag the fish for your trip home! Trips on Lake Travis will depart out of Cody Park in Lago Vista. For an additional $50 charge to cover my extra time and fuel I also offer pick ups from private docks between Mile Markers 10-37, or from the fuel dock at Rough Hollow Marina. If you would like to be picked up other than my normal meeting location at Cody Park please message me after booking. I can fit up to three anglers per trip. If you have a larger group please message me as I have two other licensed guides I work with and would be happy to help you arrange additional boats. Trips target Largemouth Bass. Guadalupe Bass, White Bass, Freshwater Drum, Catfish and Crappie are also common bycatch. We will be fishing with artificial lures. I offer both spinning and baitcasting combos, I can accomodate any skill level angler. All rods, reels, tackle, etc is provided. The only thing you must provide is a valid fishing license for any angler over the age of 16. (Upon booking you will receive a confirmation email including instructions on how to obtain a fishing license. It's extremely easy, you can pick one up from any sporting goods store or online via your phone in about 10 minutes.) Bottled water on ice is also provided. Children ages 5 and up are more than welcome! Please let me know if a child will be in your party and I will make sure to have an appropriate sized life jacket for them.
