trip description for Deep Sea-Nearshore Gulf Experience in Destin

On your private charter, we’ll venture out to the Deep Sea Nearshore waters on the Gulf of Mexico for a 4, 5 or 6 hour trip to target a wide range of species to include Snapper, Grouper, Mahi, Mackerel, Tuna, Cobia and Sharks. We’re typically fishing well within sight of land anywhere between 2 - 9 miles offshore, but don’t think for a moment this has an impact on the quality or the quantity of the fish you’ll catch! The coastal waters off of Destin quickly reach depths in excess of 100 feet within the first few miles. Due to this unique coastal reef geography, fish of all shapes and sizes call these waters home. This allows minimal travel times to your fishing spots thus increasing your actual time fishing. While out on the boat you’ll often see dolphins, sea turtles and other marine life. Our family-friendly guides will coach you to success on catching the fish of your dreams and make sure everyone has a fun time fishing. Once your trip is over we will clean, filet, bag and ice your catch. You then can take your filets home with you or to one of the highly recommended restaurants by our marina who will prepare your catch any way you’d like it along with all the tasty sides. Read More

Great trip, Kyle and Danny worked full time plus to get us on fish and get those fish into the boat. We limited out on red snapper and caught several other fish as well. Overall a good day of fishing , next time we will make it a longer trip hoping to find the bigger fish by getting out further and finding the more isolated spots holding some biggies. Captain Jason and Blaine (sp?) were awesome! We scheduled this trip MONTHS in advance and anticipation grew as our date finally approached, only to be met with rain and high winds on our original date. Captain Jason stayed in communication with us and offered an alternate date we could go out; thankfully we were still going to be in town on vacation. There was a variety of fish caught, some had to be thrown back due to size or not yet in season, but all in all it was a good day at sea (even with myself spending a good majority in the cabin due to sea sickness). The hubs even caught a shark! We would definitely use this team again!

Jennifer W. with Jason R. of Destin, Florida

  • ★★★★★
Captain Jason proactively reached out the day we booked to confirm, learn about our fishing interests, and prep us. He texted the night before with all the details for the next morning. He and Blaine were ready and eager to get out and show us a great time. Blaine was awesome giving us instructions and tips to make sure we had success. He worked his tail off for us and had a blast while doing it. Got 2 black fins right away and had an awesome day in the Gulf. Will be telling all our friends from up North to book!

Mark H. with Jason R. of Destin, Florida

  • ★★★★★
We had a great time with Nick. I love when a guide is so determined to get you on the fish that they’re almost stressed when they’re not biting. Nick refused to allow the fish to hide. He busted his butt to get everyone to their red snapper limit and we even ended up fishing a bit over the time we had allotted to make sure we had our best shot. We had a blast, and I would definitely recommend Nick. We’re going home with a cooler full of snapper, so that’s a win!

Brad L. with Nick T. of Santa Rosa Beach, Florida
