Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jeremiah is prepared to put you on fish. These waters are known for Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Redfish, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Spadefish, and more. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner! Capt. This is a half day private bay fishing trip for the family at South Padre Island. Target species are primarily speckled trout and redfish, but other species are caught when conditions permit. Other species could be flounder, black drum, sheepshead, snook or even a triple tail. Amateur to avid anglers are welcome. This is a kid tested and family approved private bay fishing charter. This is a two person duck hunting trip in the Lower Laguna Madre leaving from South Padre Island, Texas. Species of ducks that winter here are Pintails, Redheads, Teal, Widgeon, Shovelers, Scaup, Buffleheads, Ruddy Ducks and Mottled Ducks plus more. Typically hunt over decoy blocks of at least 70 decoys. Guide will provide a retriever. Clients can bring their own dog if approved by guide. Season typically runs from first weekend of November through last weekend in January. This is a three person half day private bay duck hunting trip near South Padre Island, Texas. The Lower Laguna Madre has some of the finest duck hunting in the United States when conditions are right. Hunting along the edges of the fronts is absolutely the most ideal time to plan a trip. Multiple species move through this bay system on their way South. Large concentrations of redheads and pintails winter here. Other species that migrate through the South Padre area are widgeon, teal, shovelers, scaup, and others. Clients can bring their own retriever if discussed beforehand with the guide. Typically, hunt over decoy spreads consisting of at least 75 decoys. Season starts in November and goes out for two weeks after Thanksgiving Sunday. Starts again on Second Saturday in December and typically goes to last Sunday in January. Guides prefer to duck hunt in the afternoon and will provide a seasoned retriever. This is a fun activity and most clients return to go again. These are not easy hunts and do require some labor. Launch onto the beautiful Laguna Madre for an epic shallow water adventure with a Captain who absolutely lives on the water. The main species you’re going to be targeting include Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Occasionally, you’ll get a chance to land some Black Drum, and maybe a Snook or two. Captain Brett loves to fish with professionals and new fishermen alike and will teach even the most novice of fisherman how to successfully cast, hook, and land a fish. He’s also great with kids and always encourages the young ones to start fishing early. The minimum age for kids is 6 years old. All equipment and artificial bait you need will be provided by the charter.
