This is a half day private snook fishing trip. This trip is designed for the more experienced angler or someone who is willing to learn how to cast accurately. Client will fish with artificial baits and asked to cast at specific objects and/ or angles. Live baits may also be used on a limited basis. Snook are aggressive and fast fighting fish that will jump and put on a good fight. The slot limit on snook is restricted to a 4 inch slot. Mainly bottom fishing for Red Snapper, Triggerfish, and more There’s a fish with your name on it in South Padre Island, and we will help you catch it! Having logged many hours on these tides, Captain Jeremiah is prepared to put you on fish. These waters are known for Jack Crevalle, Kingfish, Redfish, Sailfish, Red Snapper, Spadefish, and more. On the day of your trip, you’re likely to troll and bottom fish using light tackle. Any fish within the legal limit is yours to keep. Plus, you can have your catch cleaned. Now that’s dinner! Capt. Jeremiah welcomes anglers of all ages, including kids, so the whole family can come and unplug for the day! If you don’t have a child-sized life vest of your own, be sure to ask if there’s one on board. It’s never a bad idea to bring snacks, drinks, sunglasses, and sunscreen (non-spray). This is a two person duck hunting trip in the Lower Laguna Madre leaving from South Padre Island, Texas. Species of ducks that winter here are Pintails, Redheads, Teal, Widgeon, Shovelers, Scaup, Buffleheads, Ruddy Ducks and Mottled Ducks plus more. Typically hunt over decoy blocks of at least 70 decoys. Guide will provide a retriever. Clients can bring their own dog if approved by guide. Season typically runs from first weekend of November through last weekend in January. Season is split and is out of season from last Sunday after Thanksgiving and Starts again on second Saturday in December. Hunters need approximate license and waterfowl stamps plus HIP enrollment. This is a three person half day private bay duck hunting trip near South Padre Island, Texas. The Lower Laguna Madre has some of the finest duck hunting in the United States when conditions are right. Hunting along the edges of the fronts is absolutely the most ideal time to plan a trip. Multiple species move through this bay system on their way South. Large concentrations of redheads and pintails winter here. Other species that migrate through the South Padre area are widgeon, teal, shovelers, scaup, and others. Clients can bring their own retriever if discussed beforehand with the guide. Typically, hunt over decoy spreads consisting of at least 75 decoys. Season starts in November and goes out for two weeks after Thanksgiving Sunday. Starts again on Second Saturday in December and typically goes to last Sunday in January. Guides prefer to duck hunt in the afternoon and will provide a seasoned retriever. This is a fun activity and most clients return to go again. These are not easy hunts and do require some labor. The main species you’re going to be targeting include Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder. Occasionally, you’ll get a chance to land some Black Drum, and maybe a Snook or two. You'll need your own waders and wading boots if you don't want to get wet, but feel free to stalk ‘em in skinny water in a bathing suit, shorts, and boots in the warmer spring and summer months. For these trips, Captain Alfonso runs a 24' 2022 Shallow Master, with a brand-new Suzuki 200-HP outboard—but you won't be spending all too much time on the boat given that you'll be in the water actively fishing.
