Captain Pete and his team live and breathe to fish the stunning waters of Islamorada. These waters are known for Cero Mackerel, Cobia, Black Grouper, Red Grouper, King Mackerel (Kingfish), Mangrove Snapper, Mutton Snapper, Yellowtail Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Tripletail, Wahoo, and more – with any luck, it won't be long before "Fish on!" On these trips, you can expect to troll and bottom fish. Thinking of bringing the whole family? Kids are absolutely welcome! Children must wear life vests, so find out if the appropriate size is available on board. And, you can't go wrong with snacks so that nobody gets cranky on an empty belly! Your vessel for the day is a 37' Express cruiser with space for 6 passengers. It has and all the essentials. There's a toilet on board for your convenience. You'll find rods, reels, and tackle waiting for you, along with lures. Live bait is on offer, but you should ask the captain whether you'll be catching it yourself. There's no need to buy a fishing license, just show up ready for some fishing! Some fish have special regulations, including when you can keep them. If you don't know what to expect, ask the captain. Some essentials to bring are sunscreen (non-spray), sunglasses, and bottled water. Drinks are included, free of charge. Alcohol is allowed in moderation, just be sure to avoid hard liquor as well as glass bottles. Now's the time to experience fishing in Islamorada for yourself, so book it with Captain Pete and his team! Captain Pete also has a smaller 23' Nautic Star they use for groups of 2 or less. Had a most excellent time on Blue Magic. We were scheduled for an offshore trip but wind and waves caused us to cancel this trip. However, we rescheduled for later in the day for a tarpon fishing excursion. This was a blast ! We saw sharks up close and landed several yellow jacks which gave us a good fight before being returned to the water. After trying and trying (never give up) we snagged a good sized tarpon. After a good fight which included multiple boat maneuvers it was brought to the side of the boat before being cut loose to fight another day. We thoroughly enjoyed the time spent with the captain and first mate. Both were very attentive to us, making sure that our hooks were still baited and that we had all the help required for landing and documenting our catches before returning them to the water. A great time was had by all! The boat was immaculate and we had no issues if any sort.

We were scheduled to go off shore but the winds and waves were too high for it to be enjoyable. We cancelled the off shore trip and regrouped later in the afternoon for several hours of tarpon fishing. Had a great time ! Caught one big tarpon and several yellow jacks which were also fun to bring in. My shoulders hurt the next day! Steve and his first mate were very friendly and made sure that I had a good experience by helping me bait my hooks and take off my fish. We even had a queen conch come up hooked on a point of our anchor (which we returned to her watery bed). Would heartily recommend taking a trip with Steve and the crew of Blue Magic.

We recently had the pleasure of embarking on a fishing charter with Captain Brad and his shipmate Miles, and I must say, it was an experience to remember! From start to finish, the trip was filled with excitement, laughter, and, of course, some great catches. First and foremost, Captain Brad's professionalism and expertise were evident from the moment we set foot on his well-equipped boat. The vessel itself was top-notch, complete with all the necessary fishing gear and even a bathroom—a luxury rarely found on fishing charters. This attention to detail immediately put us at ease and set the stage for an enjoyable day out on the water. Now, let's talk about Miles—what a gem! Not only was he incredibly friendly and personable, but his sense of humor added an extra layer of fun to the trip. Whether he was cracking jokes or teaching me the rules of fishing, Miles's presence truly enhanced the overall experience. It's clear that he's not just a shipmate but also a valuable member of Captain Brad's team. As for the fishing itself, we couldn't have asked for a better outing. Captain Brad navigated us to all the right spots, where we were able to reel in some impressive catches. His knowledge of the local waters and fishing techniques was evident, and it made for a successful day of angling. In summary, my fishing charter experience with Captain Brad and Miles was nothing short of exceptional. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a novice looking to try your hand at fishing, I highly recommend booking a trip with Captain Brad. You won't be disappointed! Happy fishing! Todd & Paige

Brad and Miles were great! They had our kids reeling in yellowtail not long after anchoring. We were also lucky to reel in a big grouper and a nice size kingfish. They recommended having the yellowtail cooked at Lazy Days which was fantastic. I would say if you were going out of Marathon to ask for Brad and Miles.
