Galveston Fishing Reports: Bull Reds at the
Jetties & Improving Inshore Bite!
A gorgeous Bull Redfish caught at the Galveston jetties this week with Capt. Shawn
"Galveston continues to produce fair to good catches. As usual I have been targeting Speckled Trout and Redfish. Live shrimp has been our go to bait for both species.
At present we are using medium to large shrimp from the Galveston channel. Soon the local brown shrimp will dominate our live wells. That will draw the trout and reds into the marsh.
We continue to get higher and higher tide levels. This will also bring the fish in to the shallow water marshes.
Wade fishing has produced Speckled Trout and an occasional Redfish on artificial lures. We have been throwing jigs and suspending twitch baits."

Review of the Week:
"I had been trying to figure out how to catch reds and trout with artificial lures and realized that I needed a bit more guidance on the how.
Captain Larry more than provided the information on not only "how" but also gave "why", "when", and "where." He also offered great information for both me and my wife for casting from boats, wade fishing, and from land.
He loves what he does and it shows. My wife enjoyed the trip so much that we are scheduling another outing with Captain Larry for her birthday in a month or so. Damn good trip? YES! Hands down one of the best guides I have ever had."
