We offer a variety of multi day trips aboard the Southern Cross, our custom 54’ aluminum Breaux Bay Craft sport fisherman. The “Cross” is a perfect set up for small groups wishing to experience premier guided and wade fishing at and around Chandeleur Island, the Biloxi Marsh, and Cat Island for speckled trout, redfish, triple tail and Tarpon. With the Cross as a “mothership” on location, the guide boat can cover large areas which allows for more time fishing and less time commuting. The Cross is equipped for private groups up to 6 and features comfortable bunks in an open configuration, 2 heads and a full shower. She has a comfortable salon with satellite television and a full galley. The trip consists of your group leaving from the harbor aboard Southern Cross just before daybreak. We tow up to two guided center console bay boats and fish the first day. On the final day you will fish in the morning and head back around noon. You will depart Ocean Springs harbor around lunchtime on Day 1 for an approximately 75-minute ride in our 32 foot Twin Vee to the houseboat where you will arrive with plenty of time to unpack and fish until dusk. Days 2 & 3 will entail full days of fishing – we will pack you a boat lunch if you want to fish all day or you can come back to the houseboat for lunch and some rest. On day 4 you will be able to fish until approximately 10 am before heading back to Ocean Springs harbor. You will have full use of our skiffs which are brand new 2023 16ft ZCB Pelican poling skiffs. They have 25hp Suzuki engines with electric start and power trim/tilt. The lodge is comprised of three wood-frame floating structures moored together. The center barge houses a bunkhouse with four sets of bunk beds for eight guests, along with an enclosed head and shower. One outboard barge contains the galley where meals are prepared and served, plus a separate generator room. The other outboard barge houses the crew quarters along with a screened-in lounge area that offers a separate dining area. All three barges have 360° access with plenty of shade for relaxing with a cold drink and appetizer.
