The bottom fishing off of SW Florida can be described as nothing short of excellent. The only downside to the fishing on this coast is you need to make longer runs to get to the fishy waters. It is my opinion that the quality of fish increases dramatically the further you go out. With this said, a good quantity of fish can be caught on all trips, but the quality is the variable. These Nearshore fishing excursions can be day or night trips, fishing the Gulf of Mexico for grouper, snapper, cobia, permit, kingfish, barracuda, and giant Jewfish on the wrecks.
