(Austin, TX) – Captain Experiences (Captain), the Texas-based outdoor sports booking platform, today announced its rebranded visual identity and expansion in fishing trip offerings across the United States and beyond. Captain’s rebrand includes an updated logo, alt logos, color suite, and a refreshed website design to reflect the company’s authentic passion for the outdoors and its genuinely personal, high quality service. The company’s marquee taglines will continue: Damn Good Guides and Unlock the Outdoors.
Captain launched in March of 2020, and has grown to a portfolio of thousands of fishing trip offerings in 115+ destinations, over 800 licensed, insured, and vetted guides, and an average customer review score of 4.9 / 5. The company's redesign is built from first-hand feedback from Captain’s consumer base, coined “adventurers,” as well as their guides, and elevates the platform as Captain continues to lead the market in user-experience, conservation education, and hands-on support that makes booking trips quick, easy, and informative.
“It’s about minimizing screens and maximizing life,” said Co-Founder and CEO, Jonathan Newar. “We're incredibly thankful to our adventurers and guides for their input throughout our rebranding process. This rebrand is for them and speaks to our shared values—we're Unlocking the Outdoors for active and aspiring adventures by connecting them with our Damn Good Guides for the trip of a lifetime, every time.”
The rebrand comes on the heels of a successful round of Seed Funding closed in spring of 2022. Alongside a substantial hiring effort, resulting in a 200% increased headcount, Captain prioritized the rebrand, leveraging insights from partnering with over 800 guides and booking thousands of trips. With the goal of creating the easiest booking experience for all outdoor sports, Captain is already the largest US-based platform for booking fishing trips and is rapidly expanding across the US and beyond.
To-date, Captain has focused on southeast saltwater fishing, partnering with over 800 guides and booking thousands of trips while exceeding a 4.9 / 5 average customer review score. The founders see the fully digital platform as a new twist on an age-old pastime, with an emphasis on cutting edge tech to make booking a breeze—ultimately empowering people to connect with the outdoors and each other.
“The rebrand is authentically Captain,” added Co-Founder and Head of Product, Attison Barnes. “We always talk about how we aim to ‘Export Texas.’ The life, energy, culture, and passion for the outdoors is unmatched here. Our new branding is symbolic of the wanderlust of the Texas outdoors, and we’re ready to take Captain across the US and internationally.”
The unveiling of the rebrand falls just days before Memorial Day Weekend, an unofficial holiday launch to the red-hot summer fishing season. Captain is well-positioned for the season with trips across major summer fishing destinations including Galveston, Port Aransas, Rockport, and South Padre Island in Texas, and Destin, The Keys, and Clearwater, Florida.
Today, Captain has an extensive presence in over 115 markets across the United States and abroad, from Montauk to Montana to Mexico. Visit CaptainExperiences.com to book and learn more.
