Just north of Tierra del Fuego and the Straits of Magellan in Southern Patagonia lies the Rio Gallegos. Hosting some of the largest and strongest Sea Trout in the world, this river is as respected for its beauty as its bounty.
With private access to 290,000 acres and 25 miles of the Rio Gallegos fishery, Las Buitreras Lodge does the location justice. The lodge is quintessentially Patagonian, with modern comforts and conveniences including comfortable, spacious rooms, a large covered veranda, a wind-protected courtyard, a fully-stocked wine and beer bar, and a covered veranda with a stone grill put to use weekly for traditional Argentinian asado cookouts.
Nestled in the heart of the Rio Gallegos ecosystem, anglers can expect to cross paths with Silver Foxes, Guanacos, Rheas, Flamingos and Wild Horses.
The fishing is challenging, technical, and rewarding. Explore the best of Southern Patagonia at Las Buitreras Lodge January 23-30 with John Bilotta. Please see below for a detailed itinerary, and please reach out here with questions or comments.
