Our Damn Good Guides had an amazing week of summer fishing! Galveston guides are catching Redfish and Speckled Trout left and right, Matagorda offshore charters are finding Swordfish, Red Snapper, Mahi Mahi, and Grouper, The Florida Keys are red hot for Snook, Permit, and Bonefish, and way down yonder in Georgia, Chris Scalley and co. are netting Brown Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Striped Bass on the Chattahoochee River!
"This week lots of wind, East bay off color a few trout caught using live bait over shell. The jetties still holding some redfish and trout using live shrimp. Over all fishing is slow. As soon as this wind slows down and the tides get right the fish will turn on. Be safe on the water. Thanks Captain Mike Cacciotti" - Captain Mike
"Rockport area....Trout have been good over shell, sand and grass...using mainly Downsouth lures super model and burner shad...any of the dark colors have worked well.....Marker 54 lures mullet run have worked well for reds over shell beds, sand pockets in grass flats...." - Captain Larry
"Redfish bite is turning on , finger mullet. cut perch in sand pockets, lots of open weekends in July as well as the 4th." - Captain Jim
"Fishing has been fantastic on the upper Laguna Madre, limiting out before noon!!!" - Captain Chris
"This week's early morning low tide bite was very tough. It seems like the better bite was on the high incoming tide later in the day. This week saw a few more flounder and some bigger trout like this 6 1/2 pound 25" trout." - Captain Kyle
"Inshore fishing in Islamorada this past week hasn’t disappointed at all. Expectations have been high with clients and visitors traveling to the Florida keys again. We have yet to see a slow day of fishing from the crystal clear flats of Islamorada to the tonic water of the Everglades National Park. Tarpon, Bonefish, Permit, Drum and Snook are all a real possibility very single day." - Captain Ben
