This is a fly fishing trip for the annual white bass run above Lake Whitney. Guests will meet the guide at Hamm Creek Park near Rio Vista and travel up the Brazos River in a 18 foot center console boat. Fishing will be a combo of boat and wade fishing for white bass, stripers, and large mouth bass. All tackle can be provided along with ice and water on the boat. Full day trips will include lunch. Whether you’re an experienced angler or a beginner, we will introduce you to the thrill of South Florida freshwater fishing. The main target species is Peacock Bass, but we will also give you the opportunity to catch Largemouth Bass, Snakehead, Gar, Mayan Cichlid, and more. This trip primarily involves live bait sight-fishing. Bait is included in the price, but the guest is expected to bring their own fishing rod. One can be provided at an additional cost. For an added challenge, the option to use artificial tackle will also be provided. Hop on board with Scott for an exciting day of fishing on Lake Nacogdoches! On this 6-hour freshwater trip, you'll be targeting Blue Catfish, Crappie, Largemouth Bass, Striped Bass and White Bass. Largemouth Bass are the most popular game fish at Lake Nacogdoches due to their high numbers. Get ready to catch some big ones; Nacogdoches is known for producing trophy-sized bass and there's been 3 cases of bass over 13 pounds. You'll also see some Crappie and catfish, but numbers are relatively low so expect to target these species less. Whatever fish you're after, Scott is a friendly guide who will land you some big catches and help you hone in your techniques along the way. You’ll be fishing on Scott’s 25’ Skeeter center console, which is equipped with a GPS, fishfinder and live bait well. It can accommodate 6 anglers.
