"Aransas Pass area........redfish have been scattered over grass and potholes, jerk shrimp and Downsouth lures have worked well with top water bait in the mix. Haven't caught alot of trout but are here....most trout hanging in 3-5 of water close to the ICW.... Downsouth lures and soft dines have worked well.....continue to practice catch and release on all trout for the 2021 yr. It's extremely important to release all mature female trout (15-25)to have a maximum spawn for our estuaries."-Captain Larry

"Spring time is memory making time for these kiddos catching the biggest fish of their lives. Still catching lots of fish at the Galveston jetties using live shrimp and crab." -Captain Derek
"Overall fishing has been fair for me this week. Live shrimp has been the go to bait for catching a mixed bag of red fish and trout. Wade fishing has produced speckled trout and an occasional red fish on artificial lures. We have been throwing jigs and suspending twitch baits. High winds have been the reason for only having a fair catch."-Captain Harry

"Lots of wind in between fronts, we had a good day of fishing on Tuesday of this week, using live shrimp fishing rocks. If going to Galveston to fish check the weather, try to fish the incoming and outgoing tides. West bay is starting to-produce some nice trout and redfish. The jetties holding lots of pan fish using live or dead bait. The upper Galveston bay reefs holding lots of pan fish on dead bait, when the wind slow down. Overall fishing is good. Be careful watch out for the rain and high winds. Stay safe."-Captain Mike
"Last cold front seemed to freak out the fish for a few days a couple more cold fronts coming. Water temp is getting closer to setting the fish off for some awesome fishing trips coming soon."-Captain Mike
"Sheepshead, reds and black drum still on fire inshore."-Captain Mike

"Fair reports and angler's should prepare for hatches of midges. For me the best time to fish is between 10:00AM to 3:30PM. Fish have been feeding in anticipation of warmer weather. The warmer/sunny days have been giving us midge hatches and bigger imitation patterns (#16-18's). Midge nymphing has still been the most productive. Flies of choice are Black Beauty Flashback #18-22, JuJu Baetis Purple #18-22, Sparkle Wing RS's Black #20-22, Hunchback Scud Orange #14, Top Secret Midge #20-24, and Bling Midges, White, Brown and Black #22-24. Make sure you target the slow, deep pools where trout's concentration is the highest this time of year."-Captain Ken
