Almost 70 miles (113 km) west of Key West lies the remote Dry Tortugas National Park. This 100-square mile park is mostly open water with seven small islands. Accessible only by boat or seaplane, the park is known the world over as the home of magnificent Fort Jefferson, picturesque blue waters, superlative coral reefs and marine life, and the vast assortment of bird life that frequents the area.

Caught mangrove snapper, yellow fin, jack crevalle, a 6ft. nurse shark, lost some large fish, and had some HUGE hits but couldn’t get them up to see them, possibly one a goliath grouper that grabbed one of the snappers. Had a great time! Highly recommend trip!

Our husbands were really happy. Caught lots of fish and had them for dinner. The captain cleaned all the fish, and we took them to the restaurant where they cooked them for us. It was a great experience. Highly recommended.
