We push pole the crystal clear waters of Tarpon Springs and the surrounding waters on my 18’ ankona shadowcast in search red drum, snook, tarpon and all other sorts of fish that we may encounter. We use 9ft fly rods varying from 6wt-11wt depending on species and time of year. A typical day starts out leaving a preplanned selected location on where to launch the boat. From there we will sight fish in crystal clear water in a couple feet or less typically. You will need to have a good pair of polarized sunglasses to help see the fish in the water.
