Everything You Need to Know About St. Augustine, Florida Fishing
How is the fishing in St Augustine?
You'll really have everything at your fingertips here in St. Augustine. From the Matanzas River to Salt Run to the Tolomato River, this is a lot of water converging in one spot, making it an inshore anglers paradise. While this is a little far north for snook, all the other usual suspects will be here, especially the redfish. Tarpon can certainly be had as well.
Other common areas to fish are the mouth of the St Augustine Inlet, particularly when the tides change. If you want to get further out, there are plenty of opportunities to hit the nearshore reefs for snappers and groupers, or you can run further out for pelagics. No shortage of opportunity in this small town.
