There you are fishing, sitting on aboard a fully furnished and mission-designed 38 ft Sportfishing Express with your feet propped up on the fish box. Your favorite beverage in one hand, almost lulled to sleep with the slapping waves rocking the boat and the sea breeze cooling the brow. All of a sudden, from the bridge comes the bellow “FISH ON”!!! Suddenly from the peaceful calm, you realize it is time to get down to fishing! The mate has been in fast motion moving the rods so you can get at the one with the fish. There is no doubt what rod to pick up; it’s the one bent over double and the reel screaming. Adrenaline is pumping through your body, you reach for the rod, and with a little struggle, you remove it from the holder. You cram the fishing rod into the fighting belt that is strapped around your waist. Getting your body square to the fish and leaning into the padded stern, your desire to overpower the fish and become the victor has begun! This could be your experience when you head out with Captain Hunter aboard the fantastic 38ft Sport Express built explicitly for running badass offshore trips out of Port Aransas. Offshore fishing in the Gulf of Mexico offers some of the most exciting sport fishing in the world, and this 6 hour trip provides an awesome opportunity to catch a variety of fish species like snapper, wahoo, shark, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, amberjack, blackfin tuna, mahi-mahi, and whatever else you and Captain Hunter can find out there! Based in Port Aransas, and with the right boat for the job, Captain Hunter is able to get to blue water quickly. This means you spend more time trolling, deep dropping and sight fishing, and less time riding to and fro. Bait, fuel, and water are provided on all trips. All you need to bring is your sunscreen, sunglasses, food, BYOB, a cooler for fish transport, and any special items you need aboard a 6 hour trip! Read More

If a line-peeling, drag-screaming offshore trip is what you're after, you're in the right place! Captain Scott is a pro when it comes to offshore fishing in Port Aransas, Texas, and he loves to show clients what's out there in the deep blue. On an offshore charter with Captain Scott, you'll hunt down a variety of sportfish species, including Mahi-Mahi, Tuna, and Wahoo—all terrific fighting fish that are great to eat as well. Because these fish love to hit fast-moving lures and bait, you'll focus on trolling at different depths in order to attract bites. When a big Mahi or Wahoo takes the hook, strap in for a fight! These are lightning-fast pelagic fish that do not want to get caught, and getting one over the rail is a challenge. You'll fight the fish from Captain Scott's 42' Hatteras sportfisher, a perfect vessel for offshore fishing. She features a comfortable cabin when you want to get out of the sun, plus a big deck with tons of room for reeling in a trophy! Captain Scott will provide everything you need for an epic trip, including rods, reels, baits, and tackle. We recommend that you bring proper clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a cooler with some snacks and drinks. Get out there and hook a personal best! Read More

I hate reviews that don’t give you all the info you need. Emilio and his crew hand did a great job they brought us to a few spot that put us on 5-10 fish at a time the boat got us where we needed to go 5-10 miles out from the docks the squid bate was decent the rods were all usable there was a restroom on board In all especially for the price I would definitely take this charter again during the summer!!! Timing matters when fishing!

The trip was amazing! We all had a wonderful time, & the captain & mate were very helpful. They also answered all of our questions throughout the day. Even my son who was seasick the whole time said he was glad he went.

Captain Emilio and his first mate(I apologize for not remembering your name), were wonderful. They visited with us before departure. We were at the end of Red Snapper season, but hey, we got our limit. Plus mackerel and Bonita. Captain Emilio did an excellent job getting us to the perfect location. I will say, taking the grandchildren (9& 4 years of age), the first mate did an outstanding job teaching the curious 9/year old. She learned a lot, as did I. I’m so glad we held off deep sea fishing until we were at South Padre(the other option was in Corpus), nope this was my favorite. I would tell anyone to make an 8-hr trip, and then scale back if needed. We had our quota of Red Snapper and continued to troll for the next hour or so. I would definitely recommend Captain Emilio !!!

Caputn Cody and his deckhand Donny were great. He was also very flexible due to weather and we were able to reschedule it for the next day. It took us a while to find a good spot, but once we did, they were both very helpful. Will recommend using him and would be using him again if able in the future
