trip description for Coastal Bend Dusk Assault in Aransas Pass

Hit the water in the afternoon (around 4pm) with Captain Jeff for a full blown dusk assault on the Texas Big 3. These twilight trips are great because you can escape that mid day heat. I'm not gonna say its going to be cool (especially in the summer time) but atleast it will be cooler than fishing around mid day! Depending on the time of year and fishing conditions, your charter will be in Estes Flats, Aransas Bay, Red Fish Bay, Aransas Bay, and possibly over in the Laguna Madre and the Gulf Surf. When Captain Jeff launches out of the Redfish Camp Boat Ramp in Aransas pass he is primarily targeting the limits of Red Fish and big Trout in popping corks through the bays, sight fishing the shallows, or drifting shell bottoms. You will target four fish in particular: Red Fish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, and Black Drum. Depending on the time of year, one may be biting stronger than the others and Captain Jeff will let you know which one that is when you book the trip. Read More

trip description for Rockport Tx Wade Fishing in Rockport

This will be a full day of wade fishing the Rockport Tx bay systems. We will use a variety of different Artifical lures from soft plastics to top waters primarily targeting trophy trout and redfish. I will provide all the tackle as far as lures go. But you are more than welcome and encouraged to bring your favorite and most confident baits. You will be required to bring all your own gear consisting of waders and boots, wading belts with pliers and stringers and last but not least your own rods. I do recommend each customer bring 2 rods incase one accidentally breaks or has a malfunction. I can provide beginners rods and reels for an additional cost of $50 per rod. One more thing that I hope won’t be a deal breaker but since the major freeze a few years ago I along with a lot of the Texas guides do “Not” allow clients to keep any trout. Our trout fishery especially here in the rockport area took a major hit during the freeze. With that being said, It is coming back and there is plenty of trout action to have but if we want it to have a chance to get back to the way it was and hopefully even better and long lasting we have to continue to let them go and grow. Like I said I really hope that isn’t a deal breaker. Read More

Is booking a fishing guide worth the money?

Hiring a guide provides a number of benefits and many choose to book a fishing guide for a combination of experience, local knowledge, convenience, and cost-effectiveness.

Working with experienced fishing guides who know the best local spots and techniques can dramatically increase your odds of a great day. Having someone who is on the water every day and knows the area like the back of their hand is going to give you the best chances of success.

Booking a guide is also more cost effective, especially if you only get out a handful of times per year. When you consider all of the costs you would incur on your own such as the price of a boat, maintenance, insurance, gas, high-quality gear and tackle, repairs, and more, you’ll find that DIY is sometimes not worth the expense.

Even if you’ve got a great setup already in your home waters, booking a guide also provides a great opportunity to experience new techniques, new locations, or even a chance at a new target species to knock off the bucket list.

Wonderful experience! I purchased a 4-hour fishing trip for father’s day for my husband and it was amazing! Had a scare in the beginning with a change in Captain’s yet worked out perfectly! Capt Brian was phenomenal!! His expertise are unmatched! We learned a lot! Highly recommend Capt Brian and Captain experiences for an excellent fishing experience.

Jason was great. Fishing started out slow on the long baits. So Jason set out some poles out in the surf for my son to catch some pup sharks. My son caught three and this kept him engaged. Then the big reel started screaming. All in all great morning.

Our Captain was Mark and the first mate was Rooster. Both of these guys worked hard to put us on this fish and boy did they do it. Lots of Red Snapper, some Kingfish and vermillion snapper. Great day on the water!!!.
