Experience the ultimate Florida Hog hunting trip with Larry! This is a limited hog hunt, meaning that 1 hog is included per person, but additional hogs may be shot at a fee. Embrace the true essence of hunting by choosing your preferred weapon – be it a rifle, pistol, bow, spear, or knife – to either challenge yourself or increase your chances of success. Rest assured, this is an authentic hunting experience; we do not use small cages, tie up, or release hogs. Our wild hogs are genuinely wild and free to roam their natural habitat with no fence at all. Gun rentals are available for an additional cost and include ammo. For the 24 hour option, lodging and meals are included this package as well for no additional cost (not included in 4 or 8 hour). This is a private hunt, so your group will be hunting on your own with your personal guide. Daytime Hunts: For these hunts, you will arrive at the ranch at a pre agreed upon time. A half day morning hunt typically starts at 6-7 am and ends at 1pm. A ½ day afternoon hunt starts at 2-4pm and ends at dark. A full day hunt starts at 6-7 am and ends at dark. You will then go through a safety demonstration, meet the staff, and walk through the expectations for the hunt. Then you will head to the on-site rifle range and practice your aim before heading out into the wilderness. Once out there you will have the opportunity to choose from a variety of techniques- spot and stalk, hunting from a stand, or ride hunt. Larry and his team are also set up for bow hunters and stands are within 30 yards or less. Rifle hunters will typically be 30-100 yards on average, and bowhunters 30 yards and under. You also have the option to book multiple hunts per day and can split your day up however you’d like! Nighttime hunts: For the hunters seeking an added element of excitement, the thermal hog hunt under the stars is perfect for you! You’ll arrive around 6 pm or dusk, and after going through a brief safety demonstration and introduction to the staff head out in Swamp buggies fully equipped to take down these beasts! While this might be a slightly informal duck hunt, Captain Tim knows how to put you on em! Ducks on the panhandle are less consistent than in other regions of the country and thus require creative techniques to kill them. While setting up decoy spreads never hurt if you'd like to bring your own, Captain Tim prefers to do his scouting ahead of time, head up the river, and find a brushed-in spot on the bank to give him prime time passing shots as ducks fly low heading from roost to feed, and cove to cove as boaters flush them up throughout the morning. As a full-time fishing guide, he always has a pulse on duck movements since he's on the water all day every day. To that end he also finds ducks on the shoreline as well. When the ducks are there, he sets up in the water by the wildlife refuge and waits for the ducks to make the fateful mistake of flying out over the water as they cruise by. Whether it's setting up on the river or on the shoreline, Florida's panhandle holds some typical duck species like Blue and Green Winged Teal, Bluebills, Redheads, Wooducks, and Buffleheads. Later in the season this could have a significant impact on the success of your hunt. Early season hunts are typically done from shore or from boat. These are much easier hunts for children, elderly, mobility impaired people. Typically the first 4-5 weeks of the season allow us to utilize boat blinds and shore blinds. Later in the season birds get weary and avoid land and large boat blinds. This is when we utilize other methods such as layout boats, small standing blinds, and other less intrusive methods of concealing hunters.
