trip description for Texas Thermal Hog Fun in Garwood

Unlimited evening hog hunts, over 8000 acres accessible to hunt in the Garwood/El Campo TX area. Uses drones with thermal cameras to find hogs when stalking around. Pigs are primarily a nocturnal animal especially in the hot summer months, due to being very susceptible to sunburn and lacking sweat glads to cool themselves. This makes hunting pigs with the aid of thermal a very effective means, especially in open areas such as crop/hay fields. This method usually leads to older and bigger pigs being taken off the area. Christopher M. with Andrew S. of College Station, Texas

  • ★★★★★
I HIGHLY recommend Captain Andy for his excellent guiding skills and can-do attitude. Unlike many other Guides, he works with a network of other spotters who watch for birds all across the state. He left his home at midnight and arrived at our shooting location at 1 AM to make sure other eager hunters wouldn't grab his spot. The result was an excellent hunt of mixed bag ducks, sprinkled with humor and education about wingspotting. Five stars is not enough for this Coast Guard certified gent.

Brooks B. with Andrew S. of College Station, Texas

  • ★★★★★

Had the best time with Captain Carson. It was our first time bass fishing outside the Midwest and he was an excellent guide and great at teaching us some new techniques. He was very knowledgable about the area, and has experience with all sorts of fishing from river and lake to offshore. Shared some great stories, had an awesome experience, and plan to be going out again! Thanks again Carson!
