trip description for Good Ol' Gator Hunting in Crystal River

Embark on an adrenaline-fueled Gator Hunt like no other in Crystal River, FL! With only 4 tags available and just 3 left, this exclusive opportunity is not to be missed. Led by the fearless Captain Leon, a true expert in alligator hunts, get ready to experience the thrill of a lifetime from August 15th through November 1. Sumnter County is the prime location for this unforgettable adventure, boasting a remarkable 90% success rate. Captain Leon's exceptional skills and knowledge will ensure you have the best chance of a successful hunt, making this a truly rewarding experience. The main game plan is to sneak up on these incredible creatures, throwing a treble hook in their back, and skillfully bringing them to the boat before dispatching them with precision. It's a thrilling challenge that only the most skilled hunters can conquer. But that's not all—Captain Leon's wild technique for handling sketchy alligators is a sight to behold! Instead of creeping up, he'll rig up a beef lung on a rod, open the bail, and haul ass at the gator, going max speed. He plans so that his lower unit is out of the water, and he'll watch the gator go down, dropping the bait on him as he flies past. Most of the time, the gator pops right back up where he was, finds the beef lungs, and chomps. If the gator pops up a ways off, i.e., doesn't see the lung, he tugs on the line to make a splash in the water, and it's almost always game over. Whether you're a seasoned hunter looking for the ultimate challenge or a thrill-seeker eager to experience the heart-pounding rush of a Gator Hunt, Captain Leon has you covered. Spaces are limited, and the remaining tags are disappearing fast, so secure your spot now for an adrenaline-pumping expedition like no other. Nick was a great captain for us. He's very easy to talk to, knows his way around the coast and knows fish. We scalloped but I imagine he also leads amazing fishing trips.
