About Your Guide

21 Years of Experience
Profile photo of Captain Experiences guide Jason

Captain Jason is a Panama City, FL native who was raised on the pristine waters of the Gulf Coast. Growing up surfing, diving and of course fishing, his love for the water was constant. He loved it so much that he became one of the US Coast Guards Elite Helicopter Rescue Swimmers. With this came the ability to move around throughout the years, giving him time to explore his love for the outdoors and hone his skills and techniques in many environments.

He has been very fortunate to fish and guide in such locations as Florida, Carolina Lowcountry, Southeast Alaska, Northwest Michigan and the Blue Ridge Mountains, Cuba, and Belize to name a few. His passion for sight fishing is fueled even more by putting clients on their first fish with a fly. When not guiding, you will find him traveling to new places around the globe to chase fish or behind his Bow looking for game.

Captain Jason is a member of several Pro Staff's the IFFF, Project Healing Waters, Florida Guides Association, National Association Of Charter Boat Operators and Captains for Clean Waters.

SHEP IS THE TYPE OF GUIDE YOU WISH YOU HAD MORE OFTEN. EXPERIENCED, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND SOMEONE WHO NOT ONLY PUTS YOU ON FISH BUT TEACHES YOU HOW TO BECOME A BETTER ANGLER. EVEN WHEN WE HAD LESS THAN IDEAL CONDITIONS, SHEP DID US RIGHT, AND MADE FOR A GREAT TRIP! HE'S EARNED OUR REPEAT BUSINESS.

What a gnarly guide! We had great time, he put us on the fish, even with less than Favorable weather. Chep is where it’s at! Chep was very knowledgeable and informative and was super cool when we was under pressure ( it was my first on saltwater so I had a learning curve lol ) Would recommend to anyone and we will book again!
