Guided by Matt Simon
Deep Sea Inshore Jetty Nearshore River
Captain Matt has been fishing ever since he could walk. There is nothing else he takes as much pride in as fishing. Matt and his crew will put you on the fish. His 30-foot Contender will get you to the fishing grounds and back in a timely fashion. While his inshore skiff will easily take you in the shallow nighttime waters. Matt and his crew live and breathe fishing.
First Mate Zach has been fishing the South Carolina waters for years. He specializes in all types of fishing, especially flounder gigging. Fishing is his passion. Having three children of his own, he is great with teaching kids how to fish. No matter your age, Zach will be there to assist with your catch and provide tips and techniques for all.
First Mate Tony has experience fishing all over the country. Seasoned in bottom fishing and west coast style fishing, Tony brings his knowledge to the east coast and is more than qualified to put fish in the boat.

Fantastic ride! Matt was very patient with us since we were a little late and very accommodating to one of us with medical concerns. He also answered all of our questions about Charleston. Definitely worth the trip!
Matt is awesome! We seemed to be the only boat catching fish!! Matt is very personable, accommodating and knowledgeable. And, his boat is immaculate! Give Matt a call, he will take care of you!
My son and I had an amazing time fishing. It was a perfect day to be out on the ocean and both guys were helpful, knowledgeable, and accommodating. I would definitely call on Matt to take us out again. Thank you so much!
Matt was great, fun to talk to, very knowledgeable and helpful. We caught a few things in the two hour timeframe (including the huge red drum pictured!), but he extended the trip so we could get a few more catches in. Will look him up again when we’re back in Charleston. Highly recommend! …
What a fun time with Captain Matt. Great guy. Super relaxed and patient. Put us on a lot of fish. My son later said,”I thought fishing meant we had to wait a really long time to catch something. We are catching things all the time!” Beyond the fish, it was a great atmosphere, a lovely day, and exactly what my family was hoping for. Kudos! …
The over all experience we had with Captain Matt was phenomenal. Not only did he get us on the fish, but we got to experience the Atlantic Ocean the way you wont at a beach. I highly recommend and will be returning the next time I’m back in Charleston. If you pondering what type of charter to take go all in it will be worth it and you will enjoy it and wont forget the experience. …
