About Your Guide

Captain Conner was born and raised in Destin, Florida. His passion for fishing started when he was a little boy, fishing with his dad along the waters of the Emerald Coast. He eventually started deck-handing on fishing boats when he was a teenager and worked his way up to becoming a licensed captain. He soon started running inshore and offshore charters for local guides. He landed a job becoming a traveling fishing guide for a oil and gas company, traveling all along the coast fishing from Destin, Florida to the coast of Texas. After several years of being a traveling guide, he decided it was time to start his dream job, running charters back in the Florida Panhandle. He loves teaching people and children of all ages how to fish and showing them different techniques used to catch fish. No angler is too young to have a blast with Captain Conner!

trip description for Kicking it with the Kids in Santa Rosa Beach

Take your kids out on the water and get them hooked on fishing! Captain Conner will teach them how to fish in the calm waters of the Choctawhatchee Bay—a perfect place to learn how to cast and retrieve. This is mainly a catch and release trip, but if you catch something worth eating, Captain Conner will clean it and let you take it home for dinner! If you don’t want to keep the fish, he's experienced in CPR fishing – “Catch, Photo, Release”. This way, you’ll ensure you do minimal harm to the fish you catch, which will then be safely released back into its natural habitat. On this easygoing trip, the kiddos will be targeting Black Drum, Flounder, Redfish, Sheepshead, and Speckled Trout. Captain Conner primarily uses live bait, but is happy to use artificial as well. The species you'll target are perfect for beginners and will provide a captivating fishing experience for kids! Captain Conner runs his trips aboard his 22' Pathfinder center console. She's a versatile boat that can handle all kinds of water, and she sports a 200-HP Yamaha outboard to get you to the fishing grounds fast. She also features top-of-the-line gear and electronics to enhance your trip. The captain will provide everything you need for a blue-ribbon day. All you need to bring is proper clothing, sun protection, and a pair of sunglasses! The fish are biting—what are you waiting for?! Read More
