Cap Joe was extremely knowledgeable of the area and supplied us with great gear. We caught over 10 fish and could not have asked for a better captain. Highly recommended!

It was a cold windy day with 25 mph gust, but the sun was shining. . Joe was our captain and we asked that we stay out of the wind as much as possible which we knew would be a challenge. We (my wife and myself ) started off at noon at Lee’s Landing because where we were staying for our trip and Joe went out of his way to meet us there. Joe was there when we arrived with his boat in the water ready to go. We got boarded and took off just a short distance from the ramp in the creek. Joe’s rods are perfect for the fishing area and we started catching fish within 5 minutes after stopping. Beautiful speckled trout were nice size with a couple being about 16’, fun to catch and we threw them back because we catch and release. It warmed up nice and Joe took us to several places and some were more bountiful then others. We are considering to moving to the area for the fishing and Joe was more than knowledgeable about where to go to catch different types of fish. We look forward to going red drum fishing with him in the Fall. We were lucky to have chosen Joe as our guide because of his local knowledge, fishing experience and his ability to make us comfortable during the trip. As a bonus for someone looking to relocate , Joe’s wife is a realtor! Thanks to Joe for a great time/ Steve and Shannon

Many thanks to Captain Joe for accommodating our request for an evening cruise to see the Trent River from the water. We’re thinking about buying a home in New Bern and asked Capt Joe to run us around. He was on-time, incredibly polite and thoughtful. Even brought a welcome basket courtesy of his realtor wife. What a team! Once we are in the area, he will be my go to guide to teach me the ropes on local boating tips and fishing techniques. Thanks again!
