trip description for Cedar Key Inshore in Cedar Key

If you've been searching for the best way to explore Cedar Key's beautiful inshore water, then this trip is meant for you! With both 4 and 6-hour options, this trip is ideal for small groups looking to enjoy the scenery and catch great fish! On this trip, you'll hone in on mangrove channels and flats, looking for tailing Redfish, cruising Cobia, and light-tackle targets such as Spanish Mackerel and Spotted Trout. These fish are super fun for anglers of all levels, and Cobia in particular are a high-quality eating fish as well! To catch these different species, you'll use several different techniques. Inshore, you'll most use light tackle cast-and-retrieve tactics, as well as drift fishing. If you get a little further off, you can sightcast right to Cobia, as well as troll for the Spanish Mackerel. You'll spend the day aboard Captain Scott's 21' Carolina Skiff, a shallow-draft fishing machine that will let you get into tight inshore water and mangrove channels. She has everything you need, from a 115-HP Yamaha outboard to live wells for bait. Captain Scott will provide else everything you need for an epic trip, including rods, reels, baits, and tackle. We recommend that you bring proper clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a cooler with some snacks and drinks. Get out there and hook a personal best! Read More
