Are you ready for a fish that will test your strength, stamina, and fishing skill? If you can handle the challenge, the “Silver King” is the fish for you. The majestic Tarpon has become the most sought-after game fish in Florida—especially between June and July. During this short window, these mammoth fish move up and down the coast, hunting for food. Tides, weather, and the phases of the moon play essential roles in Tarpon behavior, but in the spring and early summer, these kings of the inshore are always hungry, biting on both live and artificial bait. Get out there and test yourself against these prime gamefish with Captain Joe, an experienced Tarpon fisherman and one of our top guides the Gulf Coast of Florida. You'll also have the chance to hook up Blacktip and Bonnethead Sharks, Gag Grouper, and Snook, depending on your tackle and preferences. On the day of the trip, you'll set out aboard Captain Joe's 23' Ranger bay boat—a perfect vessel for fishing the Florida inshore. It's equipped with everything you could possibly need for a successful and comfortable trip, and a 300 HP Mercury to put you on the fish fast! Captain Joe will provide everything you need, including top-of-the-line rods, reels, bait, and tackle, so that all you have to do is cast out, hook up, and then hold on for the fight of your life! To maximize your time on the water, make sure to bring proper clothing, a hat, sunscreen, and a camera! Any trip with Captain Joe is sure to be picture-worthy, and Tarpon are a particularly photogenic fish. Read More
Head out for an awesome fishing adventure around Holmes Beach, FL with Captain Joe! On this trip, you'll double up and chase classic inshore species such as Redfish, Black Drum, Mangrove Snapper, Snook, and Spotted Trout, then head a little further out to go after gamefish like Cobia, Spanish Mackerel, and Jack Crevalle. The shallow grass flats in this are full of crabs, shrimp, and baitfish which in turn attract the big gamefish, so you'll have no shortage of opportunities for that personal best! You'll be fishing from the deck of Captain Joe's 23' Ranger bay boat, an ideal vessel for fishing these waters. Fishing the shallow flats requires patience and attention to detail. Fish are spooky in water that is only a couple of feet deep. The beauty of Captain Joe's bay boat is that it has a shallow enough draft to get you good shots up on the flats and in the back bays and inlets, while also having enough room and stability to haul it further out on a nice day! All of Captain Joe' trips include top-tier fishing gear, live bait, licenses, and fish cleaning at end of the trip. There is plenty of room in the cooler as well for your favorite snacks and drinks if you'd like to bring them along as well. Of course, we always recommend that you bring sunscreen, proper clothing, and a pair of sunglasses as well! Read More
Joe is a great charter captain. We had him for a fishing tourney as a captain and he put us on the fish and we slammed out. If you are looking for a guide who is going to be personable and teach you a thing or two, Joe is your man. …

My son and I enjoyed a great day on the water with Captain Joe and first mate Joe. They were a lot of fun to hang out with and very knowledgeable. They worked hard with a rainy forecast to put us on some fish. I’ve been out with many guides and Joe is way up there. Thanks for a great trip. RD …
Awesome experience Captain Joe is great. Hustle and gave my kids a great experience. Will book with him again.
We had an excellent day on the water. Wind was strong but captain joe dig a great job getting us on fish. My boys caught 50+ fish and 6 different species. We had a blast! Thank you captin Joe. We will see you again
I planned a vacation to Florida by myself for the first time and wanted to go fishing. I was a bit nervous about doing a charter alone, but just went ahead and booked it. I had THE best day on the water ever. Joe made me feel so comfortable. We just started fishing and talking-we hit it off like we were old friends who hadn’t seen each other in awhile. By the end of the trip,we were just old new friends. If you’re considering anyone else, just go with Joe. He knows where to go on the water to get the right fish, actually catches his own live bait and doesn’t buy it like some others do, and you get a whole fishing experience. I will definitely book with him again the next time I come for a visit. …
I’m an avid fisherman and have been on numerous chartered fishing trips when on family vacations. We made a late decision and found Joe had an available slot on the following day of booking this trip. I didn’t know what to expect with making a quick decision on zero research. I can say that Joe worked harder than any captain I’ve experienced. He could’ve easily took the easy route and got out of the wind/waves and make life easier on himself. But he didn’t. He worked his tail off, without hesitation, for me and my family to keep us on fish despite less than average conditions. We had storms in the area and he ran through a lot of gas to try to dodge storms and keep us fishing. He fought boat position nonstop and kept us right where we needed to be. We had an absolute blast and the snook bite was constant. We ended up with 15+ snook and most were 20”+. I was extremely impressed with this young captain and will book him again in the future. We had ages from 12-70 on this charter and Joe made sure each of us were comfortable and well taken care of. Great trip, great captain! …
