Here in West Texas we mainly hunt blue (scaled) quail and we use a combination of dogs and vehicles to chase them around. Blue quail run more than they fly and because of this the dogs usually get tired quicker. We will then use the vehicle's and ATV's to chase after them. This is a hard hunt for some as we may only bust a few coveys a day or sometimes we bust 8 coveys. The hunters that hunt hard and are patient are usually rewarded at the end. Dove Season Rates Sept 1st - 4th is $175 a gun per day Weekend Hunts are $150 a gun per day Weekday Hunts are $125 a gun per day We hunt over water tanks, ponds, sunflowers and caliche pits and use a mixture of MOJO decoys to help draw the birds in. We provide a cooler of drinks with each hunt and clean birds as needed after the hunt. Lodging is nearby and the rates are very affordable.
